The meeting of the representatives of International Association of Sport and Leisure Infrastructure management, Federation of sport managers of Russia and Institute of sport facilities from Sankt Petersburg, was held on 16th February 2011, at 11. hours in Public institution Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Roman Jakič, General manager of Public institution Tivoli Ljubljana and president of European Conference of IASLIM, Sergey Vashchenko, Generalni direktor of Consortium Avalon and president of Federation of sport managers of Russia, Yakov Morozov, General director of Institute of sport facilities from Sankt Petersburg and Jože Jenšterle, Secretary General of the International association of sport and leisure infrastructure management.

Ad. 1

Roman Jakič wellcome the guests from Russia and presented International association of sport and leisure infrastructure management its organizational scheme and programs. The Association is an international association and movement for development of sport and leisure infrastructure. Public institution Tivoli is the biggest member of National Sport Center Association of Slovenia, It operates 76 sport and leisure facilities and areas in Ljubljana. Tivoli Ljubljana manage Sport park Stožice with the newest sport hall and football stadium.

Sergey Vashchenko has expresed pleasure to met with representatives of IASLIM and special interest of establishing cooperation between Federation of sport managers of Russia, Institute of sport facilities and Consortium Avalon with International association of sport and leisure infrastructure management. Consortium Avalon is a private organization which encompass 11 companies, which plan and built sport infrastructure. He said that the management of sport facilities should be changed, managers and professionals should have special educational and training programs.

Yakov Morozov presented Institute of sport facilities from Sankt Petersburg and its programs. The institute have professional experiences and human resources to cooperate on international level. Institure will partcipate at designing sport infrastructure for Olympic games in Sochi. management of the institute would be interested for transfer of special knowledge, professional skills and innovations in specialised sport facilities, technologies, programs and professional training programs.

Jože Jenšterle presented the programs and projects of IASLIM. The association aims to promote sustainable development, social management, new technologies and innovative programs. Association promote the profession of managing sport and leisure infrastructure and organize certified professional training programs, international seminars, study visits and conferences.

Ad. 2

All representatives at the meeting expressed readiness to develop cooperation between organizations and start up joint projects.

Proposals for cooperation in 2011

• 19 – 21 October 2011, Barcelona, Spain
  Seminar and study visit: Private and public partnership (PPP) opportunities in sport facilities management. European Conference of IASLIM. International association will invite managers and officials from Russia to participate the seminar and study visit. They should present the project of Olympic infrastructure in Sochi and future management.
   
• 2011, Moscow, Russia
  Seminar: Sustainable management of sport and leisure infrastructure. Federation of sport managers of Russia will prepare mailing list of public institutions, companies, municipalities, sport organizations and others, which will be invited to the seminar. IASLIM and Institute of sport facilities will prepare content of the seminar. Partners will prepare: (1) program of the seminar, (2) invitation, (3) budget and (4) proposal for Russian government to support professional training program in Moscow for Russian managers including management of Olympic sport infrastructure in Sochi.
   
• 2011, Moscow, Russia
  Catalogue of sport centers in Russia. Partners will prepare proposal for the catalogue, which will include content, sources, operational procedures, design, financing, printing and promotion.

Ad. 3

Sergey Vashchenko and Yakov Morozov expressed willingness that Federation of sport managers of Russia, Institute of sport facilities from Sankt Petersburg and Consortium Avalon, became members of International association of sport and leisure infrastructure management.

Head office of IASLIM will send them application form for membership. They will conclude all procedures, which concern their inclusion in the association, in the shortest possible time.

The meeting ended at 12.30. In the afternoon participants visited Sport park Stožice, sport hall, football stadium and have presentation of new technological systems and programs in the facilities.
