Study visit to United Kingdom

Sport Center Association of Slovenia has organized three day’s study visit in Great Britain, together with partners, English and Slovenian companies Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd, Indigrow Ltd , AB d.o.o. and Zeleni inženiring, Uroš Zvonc s.p.. The program has included topics from the management of infrastructure and maintenance of natural grass surfaces for sport and leisure. The excursion was held from 8th to 10th November 2010.

Program

The program has included:

  1. 1.Visit of the company Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd with presentation of production, different types of machines with attachments and state of the art machines for maintenance of the natural grass surfaces.  
  2. Presentation of maintenance of golf course in the Ramsomes Jacobsen Ltd factory complex.
  3. Presentation of products and services of Indigrow Ltd for maintenance of quality natural grass surfaces for sport and leisure.
  4. Visit of the Ipswich Town Football Club Academy. Presentation of the infrastructure, football pitches and mechanization for maintenance of natural grass surfaces. Presentation of management and maintenance of eleven (11) football pitches with natural grass.
  5. Visit of the football game Ipswich Town – Derby County. Visit of the stadium and presentation of maintenance of the main football playground.

 

Realization

Three day’s study visit in Great Britain was organized from 8th to 10th November 2010. The program has included the flight Ljubljana - London/Stansted - Ljubljana, local transport, hotel accommodation, meals, study program, visits of the companies and football games. The costs of the visit have been covered partialy by the companies – partners and participants of tha study visit. There were 20 participants in the study group.

 

Certificates

Participants of the study visit, have received certificates for attending the three day’s professional training program in Great Britain with topics including management of infrastructure and maintenance of natural grass surfaces for sport and leisure. The program was part of educational program „International school of sport and leisure infrastructure management“, subject 12213 study visit of sport and recreational center.
