Minutes of the meeting of the Sport Center Association of Serbia and the Sport Center Association of Slovenia

Meeting was held in Belgrade, Serbia, on February 11th 2009 at 15. hours. The materials for meeting were prepared and send one month before the meeting by e-mail. Some materials were presented before the meeting and the agenda was completed. Mr. Ranko Matijaševič chairs the meeting.

Conclusions

 

POINT 1

Ranko Matijašević, President of the Sport Center Association of Serbia, presented the program and members of the Serbian association. The association was established in 2002. There are 109 sport centers (sport and leisure infrastructure operators) in the Republic of Serbia. 39 public institutions and companies are members of the Association. They have developed professional training programs for the managers and they published the Address book of the sport centers of Serbia. The Association and it's members have interests to cooperate with the Sport Center Association of Slovenia and other associations in the International Association of Sport and Leisure Infrastructure Management. The main fields of interest are: professional education and training, study tours, executive business consultancy, standards and regulations, certification, communication systems, new infrastructure technologies and regional network of the infrastructure operators.

 

Ivan Pfeifer, President of the Sport Center Association of Slovenia pointed out that it is very important to cooperate at the regional level. We had very good relations in the past and we should develop them in the future. He presented projects of the Association in Slovenia. It represents the economic sector of sport and leisure infrastructure management, more like a Chamber of economy than a Trade Unions organization. The most important goals are to provide the conditions for the development of the sector and professional training for the managers.

 


The Sport Center Association of Serbia and the Sport Center Association of Slovenia have common interests to develop international cooperation in the International Association of Sport and Leisure Infrastructure Management.

 

POINT 2

The Sport Center Association of Slovenia, the International Association of Sport and Leisure Infrastructure Management and UBAE, Unio Barcelonina Asociacions Deportivas, will organize a study tour in Barcelona, Spain, from 23 till 26 April 2009. The program will include visits to the new sport centers and Olympic Ring in Barcelona. Presentations will encompass: the system of financing operations and maintenance of the facilities, marketing of the programs and services and event management. All the managers of the sport centers in Serbia will be invited. Both Associations from Serbia and Slovenia will promote participation in the program. The program and the entry form are available on the web site info@sportnicentri.si.

 

POINT 3

Sport Center Association of Serbia and the Sport Center Association of Slovenia, will organize a study tour in Serbia, from 14 till 16 May 2009. The program will include visits to the sport centers in Belgrade and Novi Sad (option Niš). Presentations will encompass: sport center management and maintenance, cooperation with local communities and sport organizations and financing system. All the managers of the sport centers in Slovenia will be invited. Both Associations from Serbia and Slovenia will promote participation in the program. The program and the entry form are available on the web site info@sportnicentri.si.

 

POINT 4

Jože Jenšterle, Secretary General of the IASLIM, International Association of Sport and Leisure Infrastructure Management, presented the Association and its program. European conference of the Association will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 23 – 25 September 2009. The Conference will be organized together with the International Seminar, which will offer presentations with the topics: sustainable development, social management, infrastructure and innovative programs. Both Associations will promote and organize participation at the seminar and the conference. Sport Center Association of Slovenia will prepare special program for the members of the Sport Center Association of Serbia.

 

POINT 5

The associations already cooperate in the field of preparing and maintaining the swimming pool water. They will exchange the knowledge and experience in the field of standards and regulations of planning, building, managing, maintaining and usage of the sport and leisure infrastructure. They will cooperate in preparing standards and regulations in the future.

The Associations will exchange addresses of the sport centers in Serbia and Slovenia for improving communications in beetwen public institutions, companies and professionels in both countries.

They will present their programs on the IASLIM web site.
